There’s an old experiment where you draw a circle around an ant, and it doesn’t cross the line. Not because it can’t. But because it *believes* it can’t. That’s what happens when people draw a line around you. They want to fit you into a problem space they know how to solve. Make you predictable, manageable. And for a while, that circle feels safe. You stay inside it. Someone else takes care of the rest. Until one day, you realise the line isn’t real. You can walk right over it. That’s when the game changes: - You stop playing checkers. - You start playing 3D chess. You stop being the label someone gave you and become an evolving identity. You don’t *have to be someone*. You just *need to be yourself*. It’s like driving a car. There will always be someone ahead of you, someone behind you. Some will overtake you. You’ll overtake others. But what really matters is your *displacement* — not how fast you’re moving, but how far you’ve come from where you started. Different cars are on different routes. Just because one’s ahead of you doesn’t mean it’s going where you need to go. If you’re not vibing (using first time ever, yay!) with the co-passenger, maybe it’s time to try riding solo. And if you don’t like where the bus is headed? Get off at the next stop. You don’t know exactly what’s next. But you do know what is now. And how it *feels*. And that’s more than enough to make a choice. P.S. Product idea for Linkedin Part 2: Please introduce formatting in posts, thank-you. (The need is right there, how can you *not* see it!?)
